A new approach to using the cubic B-spline functions to solve the Black-Scholes equation
Nowadays, options are common financial derivatives. For this reason, by increase of applications for these financial derivatives, the problem of options pricing is one of the most important economic issues. With the development of stochastic models, the need for randomly computational methods caused the generation of a new field called financial engineering. In the financial engineering the pre...
متن کاملConstruction of dual B-spline functions
Using new properties of dual functions, we show that the method of constructing the dual bases recently presented in [P. Woźny, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 245 (2013), 75–85] can be significantly simplified. Next, we propose a simple algorithm of constructing the dual B-spline functions, which can be useful in solving some approximation problems related to numerical analysis or computer graphics.
متن کاملFunctional networks for B-spline surface reconstruction
Recently, a new extension of the standard neural networks, the so-called functional networks, has been described [E. Castillo, Functional networks, Neural Process. Lett. 7 (1998) 151–159]. This approach has been successfully applied to the reconstruction of a surface from a given set of 3D data points assumed to lie on unknown Bézier [A. Iglesias, A. Gálvez, Applying functional networks to CAGD...
متن کاملUnivariate Spline Quasi - Interpolants and Applications to Numerical Analysis
We describe some new univariate spline quasi-interpolants on uniform partitions of bounded intervals. Then we give some applications to numerical analysis: integration, differentiation and approximation of zeros.
متن کاملUnivariate Cubic L1 Interpolating Splines: Spline Functional, Window Size and Analysis-based Algorithm
We compare univariateL1 interpolating splines calculated on 5-point windows, on 7-point windows and on global data sets using four different spline functionals, namely, ones based on the second derivative, the first derivative, the function value and the antiderivative. Computational results indicate that second-derivative-based 5-point-window L1 splines preserve shape as well as or better than...
